Care & Travel Tips (All Jewelry)

To maintain the beauty of your handcrafted jewelry, apply all lotions, perfumes, sprays, and cosmetics first and allow them to fully absorb and dry before putting on your jewelry. Jewelry should never be worn while applying lotions, perfumes, or sprays, and should be removed before washing hands, bathing, swimming, exercising, or sleeping or while in a pool or hot tub.. Avoid all contact with water, chemicals, chlorine, and bleach. Gently wipe with a soft cotton or microfiber cloth only—do not use chemical cleaners or polishing cloths. When traveling, store jewelry in its original box or a separate protective case; avoid placing loose pieces directly in bags, as pressure and friction may damage finishes, coatings, or earring backs. Natural wear and subtle changes over time are normal characteristics of artisan jewelry and are not considered defects.

Gold-Plated Bronze Care

Gold-plated bronze jewelry should be handled with care to preserve its surface finish. Clean gently with a dry microfiber cloth and avoid moisture, polishing, or scrubbing, as these may wear the gold layer. Remove before bathing, swimming, exercising, or sleeping, and store in a dry, airtight container when not in use to help extend the life of the plating. With time and wear, the color may naturally soften or lighten—this is expected and part of the design.
